Blue Cross physicians warned of data breach
Stolen laptop had doctors’ tax IDs.
The largest health insurer in Massachusetts is warning roughly 39,000 physicians and other health care providers in the state that personal information, including Social Security numbers, may have been compromised after a laptop containing the data was stolen in August from an employee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s national headquarters in Chicago.

Towards a safer use of the Internet for children in the EU
For its 2008 Safer Internet Eurobarometer survey the Commission targeted parents of children between 6 and 17 years old from all 27 EU Member States. The results showed that 75% of children (aged between 6 and 17 years) are already online. 60% of European parents are worried that their child might become a victim of online grooming and 54% that their children could be bullied online.
